PUBG LITE: Settings you should change to be a PRO Player

On July 4th, 2019 2:30 pm Low-End PC Gamers in India finally had a free-to-play game which their low spec PC could run easily. PUBG Lite was launched and it was fun. It was a cross between the extremely challenging PUBG on PC and the most popular PUBG Mobile.

Finally, a game that almost all your friends can play even if they are on an old Intel Core i3 processor which according to Tencent gaming is the minimum processor requirement for running PUBG PC Lite. But we at TechnoRivals went lower and played it on an 8-year-old Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5700 3.0 GHz processor and the gameplay was decent enough.

Well so for a game that works on all types of PC’s all types of people will be playing it like Pros, Noobs, and people who do not know what Battle Royale is. Well if you are coming from PUBG Mobile or the Emulator version of the game you might not know a lot about the settings in the game because it closely resembles PUBG PC.

Please note this is not for PC gaming professionals who know how to choose their own settings. Rather this is for people who started PUBG Lite not knowing what all works for them. I am writing this article after playing the game for hours and adjusting the gameplay and control settings to get maximum performance and the best gameplay.

So let’s check out some of the best PUBG Lite Settings you need to change right away.

Note: If you have your own control settings that your comfortable with do not change them it would just mess with your muscle memory but changing the graphics settings will be good.

PUBG Lite Graphics Settings You Need To Change right now

The first thing you need to change is Display mode(Under Display Settings) from Windowed or Full Screen Windowed to Full Screen to avoid unnecessary shutters. Your resolution must be set to your Native Resolution as it is an online game and you cannot afford to play all blurry and miss a target. If for some reason your PC cannot handle the native resolution of your monitor then bump it down to 1280×720 but not lower unless you need the extra boost to run the game.

FPP Camera FOV should be set to 103( the max value it offers) but most you might never play First Person mode so it would not matter a lot. Brightness should be set in between the range of 50 to 80 so you can spot players in the darker spots without blowing out the heavy lit areas. Max FPS should be set to 300 but if your PC can get 60 FPS and shutters set it to a value where your PC’s FPS is usually at.

Note: You can measure the FPS during gameplay using software called FRAPS.

Dynamic Resolution in PUBG Lite

Dynamic Resolution is basically the Internal Resolution Scale which works automatically so that your FPS remains constant/consistent hence giving you smoother gaming experience.

The only problem in dynamic resolution is when the game thinks the FPS is about to drop it reduces it, thus making the game blurry which in turn prevents you from seeing your enemies properly.

How to fix blurry graphics in PUBG Lite: If you are using a Mid to High-End PC turn Dynamic Resolution off and set the screen scale to 120 which will make sure the game stays blur-free throughout the match.

If you are using a Low-End PC that too really old then set the screen scale to a 100 and maybe changing the Screen Resolution to 720p.

In a competitive game like PUBG Lite it is always best you turn off Dynamic Resolution and choose your screen scale manually. Do not use a lower screen scale than 100 unless your PC can not handle it properly.

In Advanced Settings, things get a bit complicated, but just follow our lead:

1) Anti-Aliasing, Post-Processing, Textures, and View Distance, Effects should be set to the highest options which your PC can run. You can experiment with these settings and find out that sweet spot performance and gameplay experience. Higher the options better the Gameplay.

2) Shadows and Foliage should be set to the lowest option in which you are comfortable with. Lower options would help the Gameplay.

3) Turn off V-Sync. Obviously.

Controls You Should Know About

The following best PUBG Lite control settings will help in improving your overall gameplay experience.

AIM/ADS

The first control setting I changed in PUBG Lite or any other First Person or Third Person Shooter game is the ADS option. In this game by default, the right mouse button is set for ADS and hold for AIM. For some people this is okay but I recommend not using AIM and only use ADS and leave AIM/ADS and AIM unbound. Then go into GamePlay option then under Key Input Method, the ADS option should be set to Hold. This would give you more control while you shoot and will give you more control over the game.

Marking Co-Ordinates

Most of you must know by now that you can mark the location of the enemies in PUBG Mobile using ‘Enemies Ahead’ and in this game, there is a similar feature called ‘Quick Marker’ but though it is not that useful it would work in case of emergencies. By default, if you press ALT + middle mouse button a mark will be made on the direction wheel on top of your screen. It would be better to use this than taking your eye off the enemies to look at the coordinates.

Healing and Throwables

It is hard to remember which number corresponds to which healable or throwable. But if you go into controls and under UI section in controls there are two options Throwable Items and Heal Items. Set it to any key you like after that when you hold the key a wheel pops up and you can choose what you want to use by dragging the mouse in that direction. It makes life a lot easier.

Check Your Ping

It is important to be aware of your ping because if the ping is more than 100ms it will be really hard to play PUBG. To see your ping in the game, go to the Gameplay section of settings and just turn on Network Debug Statistics and while you are in a match your ping would be shown in the left upper side of the screen.

PUBG Lite Bonus Tips

In Gameplay option under Key Input Method set Map to Hold so you can quickly take a peek on the map and get back into the game.

If the recoil is really hard to control try increasing the Vertical Sensitivity Multiplier under Control Section in the settings. This will enable you to control recoil a bit more easily by decreasing the distance you need to pull the mouse down. But I do not recommend this because when you play other games this would affect you because this would decrease your skill level and mess with your muscle memory.

Conclusion

So those were some of the graphics and gameplay settings that you should change to get better gaming experience. If you have some other suggestion about PUBG Lite which can improve gameplay, then make sure to comment it down to help others.
